Since April 1st 2009, many of the services previously provided by Voluntary Action Hinckley and Bosworth (VAH&B) are now being provided by a new central infrastructure organisation Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL).
We strongly wish to encourage the people of Hinckley & Bosworth to consider the benefits of being a volunteer.
Voluntary Action LeicesterShire will provide:
• An outreach service and local access point for potential volunteers, organisations offering volunteering opportunities and training programmes
• A telephone help line and local meetings for organisations wanting funding, constitution, start up or other organisational advice or support
• Support services and partnership work.
Voluntary Action Hinckley & Bosworth have now become the Community Hub, providing leadership in partnership and representation work and ensuring that volunteers and voluntary organisations are signposted to all the help available.
