First Contact
First Contact is a FREE confidential service which enables people over 60 years of age to access services through a single point of contact, to stay safe and independent in their own homes. A whole host of services can be accessed without going to the trouble of contacting all of the various different organisations. Click here for more information.
Hate Incident Reporting
A new support service has been launched for anyone who has experienced a hate incident in Leicestershire. Under the new service people are being encouraged to come forward and report any incidents where they feel they have been targeted due to their age, disability, gender, race, religion/ belief or sexual orientation.

Hinckley & District Association For The Disabled
Hires out wheelchairs at a minimal fee (membership is not required).

Hinckley & District Association For The Disabled fundraises to provide outings for local disabled members and acts as an information service when possible. It serves people with disabilities (Doctor's letter required) in the Hinckley and Bosworth area.

CLOCKWISE CREDIT UNION
Providing residents with safe savings and affordable loans
Residents of Hinckley and Bosworth can now access safe and ethical savings and affordable loans meaning that local residents won’t need to resort to ‘loan sharks’, doorstep and high cost lenders if they need to borrow money.
Clockwise Credit Union can save borrowers pounds and give people access to save as much as they want, or as little as they can afford. Savings accounts are available for everyone, no matter what age and loans are available (subject to terms and conditions) for anybody aged 18 to 80.
This service is now available at:
Earl Shilton Community House, Pegg’s Close Earl Shilton on Tuesdays from 10am to 12.30pm and Thursdays from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and
Orbit Heart of England’s Hinckley offices on New Buildings on Wednesdays from 10am to 12.30pm.

• Clockwise Loan (£50 to £7,000 at sensible repayment rates*)
* For example a £300 loan repayable over 31 weeks from Clockwise will cost £10.41 per week, making a repayable total of £322.66 (APR 26.8%). From one of the main doorstep lenders, the same loan will cost £15 per week to repay, making a total of £465.00 (APR 365.1%).
The facility is being provided by the Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council in conjunction with Orbit Heart of England and Clockwise. Credit unions are financial co-operatives owned and controlled by their members.
