Neighbourhood Management and Stronger Communities Project

“Working together to improve our neighbourhood”

There are currently three Neighbourhood Action Teams (NATs) in the borough: Earl Shilton, Barwell and Bagworth & Thornton. This is soon to be extended to include three further priority areas in Hinckley and Burbage. Neighbourhood Management is supported by Hinckley & Bosworth's Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) and is focused on the priority areas. The NATs have established action plans and are already seeing successes as their targets are being met. A selection of projects that the NATs are supporting include:

• Sure Start
• Smoking cessation
• Neighbourhood Watch/No Cold Calling Zones
• Home insulation and energy saving
• Local Community Houses
• Local Radio
• Community transport
• Youth shelters
• George Ward Project
• Community Citizens Advice Bureau
• Street Pastors
• Environmental improvement
• Tackling antisocial behaviour
